Franklin E. Benson, 85, of Millerstown, passed away Monday June 23, 2014. He was born June 12, 1929 in Millerstown to Grant and Lutura Blanche (Sweger) Benson. He was retired from the Pa. Railroad and was a Navy Veteran. He was a member of the Donnally Mills UMC, Hunters Valley Sportsmens Asso, Millerstown Loyal Order of Moose, life member of the Ickesburg Sportsmens Asso., NRA, and Newport Social Order of Owls. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed going to livestock auctions and Nascar racing.
Frank is survived by his wife, Janet Benson of New Bloomfield; daughters, Tresa K. Dressler of Liverpool and Lorrie M. Bishop of New Bloomfield; and 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by cherished grandson, Jason E. McNaughton.
Services will be held Monday at 2 PM from the Donnally Mills United Methodist Church and burial will follow in the Eshcol Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Pa. Wounded Warriors, 1117 Country Club Rd., Camp Hill,Pa. 17011.
