Clyde M. Campbell, 74, formerly of Loysville and Newport, and a resident of Perry Village, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 in the Holy Spirit Hospital. He was born March 31, 1940 in Newport to William and Mae Ellen (Seaman) Campbell. He was retired from Pa. American Water Co. and was an Army Veteran. He had been a member of Bible Baptist Church, New Bloomfield, loved to hunt and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan.
Clyde is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Schrader Campbell; foster sons, Billy Lee Sharar of Liverpool and David Snyder of Blain; foster daughter, Debra Snyder; brother, H. William Campbell of Landisburg; sisters, Freda O'Hara of Carlisle, Mary Louise Hampton of Elliottsburg, Pauline Harr of Newport and Ruth Ann Reddy of Elliottsburg; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by foster son, Palmer Snyder and sisters, Dorothy Burkepile and Edna Donnally.
Family and friends are invited to services on Saturday from the David Myers Funeral Home, Newport for the funeral at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery. There is a viewing from 9 AM until the service.
