       Beatrice Irene Malseed
Beatrice Malseed of Newport, PA passed away peacefully on February 23, 2016 at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice  Residence in Harrisburg, PA.
  She was born on November 21, 1921 in Duncannon, PA to the late Thomas Cook and Irene (Baker) Cook.
  She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Lloyd C. Malseed Jr.; her son, Lloyd C. Malseed III of Mifflintown; her sisters, Francis Wagner, Myrtle Wolf, Edna Barnard and her brother, Thomas Cook, Jr.
  Bea was retired from Penn National Insurance, formerly PFT in Harrisburg, PA. She was a  member of the Order of Amaranth and at one time served as a Royal Matron of her local chapter. Bea was also a member of the Newport First Church of God. She fiercely loved her family and was a truly loving and generous mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
  Bea is survived by her granddaughters, Kelly M. Benner and husband Dale of Wexford, PA; Kristi N. Kleman and her husband Matt of Hershey, PA; and three great-grandchildren, Max Benner, Sophie Kleman and Mitchell Kleman.
  Funeral services will be held at the David Myers Funeral Home in Newport, PA on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment services will be private.
  While flowers and plants are beautiful, the family asks that in place of flowers, donation be made to the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence, 1701 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA.  17110.
