Dawn Marie Booth,15, of Millerstown, Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at home. Born September 09, 2001 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Harold Booth Jr. and JoAnn Marie (Thomas) Booth. She attended Greenwood High School as a 9th grader. She was active in Greenwood Cheerleading Squad, Ickesburg Soccer, and Greenwood Field Hockey. She has participated in Girls Scouts and GNMFA Cheerleading Squad. During the 2016 soccer season, she was the high scorer for the year. She excelled at drawing and enjoyed doing crafts. Dawn enjoyed crocheting hats for the newborn infants at Hershey Medical Center. She was known as “Dawn like the morning sun,” because she was always so happy and brightened everyone’s day.
She was preceded in death by her biological mother Valerie Marie Gher, her great grandmother Kathryn (Stroup) Gher, great uncles Thomas J. Gher.
Dawn is survived by her biological sister Destiny L. Kerstetter and brother Dominic A. Booth and her adoptive family, grandmother Elaine A. Booth, grandmother Joan E. (Rhodes) Thomas, grandfather William D. Thomas Jr., father Harold Booth Jr, and mother JoAnn M. (Thomas) Booth, her brothers include Harold Booth III (Nancy), Jeremy K. Booth (Hazel), David M. Maser (April) and her sisters include Patricia E. (Booth) Coote (Chris), Heather M (Booth) Reeves (Maurice), Leanne M. (Maser) Fairchok (Ryan), Katlyn V. (Maser) Gonzalez (Carlos). She had 19 nieces and nephews as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Her biological surviving family includes great grandmother Johanna K.(Magnien) Gould, her grandfather Michael J. Gher Sr., her grandmother Barbara (Gould) Gher, great uncles Mark (Michelle) and Jeremy (Chris) Gould, David Gher and great aunts Mary (Aaron) (Gould) Butler, Sharon (Jeff) (Gould) Wise, Diane (Gould) Meshell, great grandmother Lois Brightbill, Grandmother Cheryl Jones (Steve) and numerous cousins.
Viewing will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 9-11am. Services begin at 11:00 am with a meal to follow. Location is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3787 Cold Storage Road, New Bloomfield.
Burial will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA, on Tuesday January 17, 2017 at 1:00 PM
