 Kenneth Carl Albright, passed away Saturday December 30, 2017 when he succumbed to cancer at his home in New Bloomfield  with his wife Linda by his side. He was born May 11, 1938 in Mount Union, PA, the oldest son of the late Hazel M. (Hoover) and Charles L. Albright. His stepmother was the late Mabel E. (Hetrick) Albright also of Mount Union. He is survived by his wife, Linda K. (Sharar) Albright; step-sons, Robert Sharar of Newport and Steven Sharar of Mifflintown and their families; and brother, Donald C. Albright of Newport and his family and many cousins in Pa and Delaware.
  In May of 1996 after 30 years of service, he retired from the Chevron Shipping Company, a division of the Chevron Texaco Corporation of San Francisco, CA, as the Personnel Manager for the US Fleet Division. He was a Business graduate of Shippensburg University and a former member of the US Army, where he obtained the rank of Sergeant. He attended the New Bloomfield United Methodist Church, where he once served in the choir, was on the Planning Team, a Trustee, the Pastor's Relations Committee, and an Auditor.
  He was a member of the Mount Union Lodge #688 F&AM of Pennsylvania, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Consistory of the Valley of Harrisburg, PA, the Zembo Shriners, A.A.O.N.M.S. of Harrisburg; the Shepherds Unit of the Zembo Shriners; he served as President of the Perry Juniata Shrine Club in 2008; was a member of the Newport Lions Club, Newport American Legion Post #0177,  the Millerstown Moose, the Keystone Chapter of Chevron Retirees Association and the Chevron Texaco Retirees Association of the San Francisco Bay Area.
  Services will be held Saturday from the David Myers Funeral Home, Newport with a visitation from 10 AM until  Masonic Services by the Newport Lodge #381 at 11 AM followed by the Memorial Service with the Reverend Jean Felty officiating.
 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Zembo Shriners or the Newport or New Bloomfield Fire Co..
