Charles R. "Pork" Morrison, 84, passed away February 4, 2020 at his home in New Bloomfield. He was born November 22, 1935 in Oliver Township to Norris and Ethel (Zimmerman) Morrison. After graduating from Perry Joint High School, he enlisted in the Marines and served in Korea. He pitched baseball for many years in leagues around Perry County. He raced stock cars and won races at Port Royal, Williams Grove, Selinsgrove and Hagerstown and retired as a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his son, Richard E. Morrison, wife Sarah and daughter Trechia Gross; step daughters, Peggy Lee, Teresa Kirk and Donna Yohn; stepsons, Randy Yeager and Rock Chandler; sister, Jean Johnson and 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Peg) Morrison; stepson Rick Yohn; sister Helen Fultz; grandson Ronald Kirk and stepdaughter Jody Urey.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
