Shirley Grubb, 83, of Millerstown, entered into eternal rest peacefully on March 19, 2020. She had been a resident of Brookline Manor since mid-February after a brief battle with cancer.

Born Shirley Grace Hostler in Milford Township, Juniata County, on July 10, 1936, to Sarah Hostler Davis, she was the widow of Paul Grubb "Izzie" who preceded her in death on September 27, 2010. She was a 1954 graduate of Juniata Joint High School and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends most of all. She had a favorite chair on her daughter's deck where she loved to watch the birds, squirrels and deer visit from the woods, while having hot black coffee, anytime of day.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jeri and Lou Davis; grandchildren Jarrod Davis of Liverpool, Jordan Davis of Marysville, and Andrew Davis of Liverpool; great-grandchildren Grant Davis, Rowen and Fallon Davis, and Layne Davis.

Also surviving are brothers and sisters Shirley Alexander of Lewistown, Melvin Davis of Bellefonte, Tom Davis of Lewistown, David Davis of Bethlehem, George Davis of Oklahoma, Finda Bashore of Florida and Susan McHenry of Johnstown. She was predeceased by brothers Donald Davis, Harry Davis, Johnny Davis and sister Mary Magill. ALso surviving in one brother-in-law Charles Grubb "Chuckles" of Millerstown, and one sister-in-law Jane Baughman of Tennessee. She leaves behind nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends and neighbors, all very dear to her heart.

She is a member of Millerstown United Methodist Church to which memorial contributions may be made, if you so choose. Due to current social restrictions in our country, a gathering to celebrate Shirley's life will be held on a date yet to be determined. Private burial will be held in Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown.
