Robert A Ogden

  Robert A. Ogden, 77, of Newport,PA, passed away Saturday April 13, 2024 at his home. He retired from Aycok as a welder He was a member of the Newport American Legion and Social Order of Owls. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards. Roberts passion was golf. He loved having his family around and spending time with his grandchildren..

  Robert is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lynda Gibney Ogden, sons Keith Ogden and wife Anita of Wellsville and Clint Ogden and wife Kendra of Chambersburg; daughter Bobbi Lynn Mercer (Ogden) of Newport; grandson Cody and granddaughters Mackenzie, Madison and Rowan; great granddaughter Dallas and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Burley (Howell), father Clyde Ogden and brothers James Ogden and John Howell and sister Deb Bell.

 Graveside services will be held Friday, April 19 at 2 PM in the Newport Cemetery with the Reverend Cheryl Dorman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Perry County Animal Rescue or St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
