Margaret A. "Peg" Tressler,  73 years old, of Newport, passed away April 20, 2024. She was born February 19, 1951 to the late Theodore and Helen Furry. She was a retired teacher  for the Newport School  District where she was also active in the athletic programs as a coach for softball, girls basketball and  golf. She was a 1969 graduate at Greenwood High School and continued her education at Shippensburg College where she earned her bachelor and master degrees....

Terry McElheny, of Newport, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, April 20, 2024 in the Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill. He was born March 10, 1944 in Lancaster, PA to Clyde and Sara (King) McElheny. He was a veteran of the US Army and retired from the PA State Police as a trooper and polygraph examiner. He attended West Shore Brethren in Christ Church and collected guns and knives.   Terry is survived by his wife of 45 years Patti and son Christopher.  No flowers, please....

  Robert A. Ogden, 77, of Newport,PA, passed away Saturday April 13, 2024 at his home. He retired from Aycok as a welder He was a member of the Newport American Legion and Social Order of Owls. George R. Yohn, 98, of Millerstown passed away Thursday, April 4 th , 2024 at Transitions Allen Cove, Duncannon. He was born November 2 nd , 1925 in Millerstown to the late George G. and Erma Yohn. George was drafted into the Army during WWII and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. Upon honorable discharge he worked for the Pennsylvania Rail Road from which he retired. Peggy J. Kritser, 83, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024, at UPMC West Shore.  She was born April 13, 1940 in Millerstown to William and Catherine (Bilheimer) Campbell.  Peggy loved animals, particularly dogs and cats, and was never without at least one furry companion. She regularly bottle fed everything from goats to kittens at her kitchen table. She enjoyed all manner of crafts, including crocheting hats and sewing, and games.
