Cora L. Super, 80 years old, of Newport, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 10, 2017 at Brookline Manor in Mifflintown, PA.
Cora was the widow of George I. Super (1934-1987) and is survived by her three daughters: Carol Super Goldsmith of Elizabethtown, PA; Marilee Super Greenwald of Issaquah, WA; and Tracy L. Super of St. Petersburg, FL; as well as five grandchildren and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Regi and infant Freddie Regi.
Cora Louise Regi was born in Lewistown to the late Dallas and June (Alexander) Regi. The family moved to the Newport Area where Cora met the love of her life, George Super. She graduated from Newport High School in 1955 and the couple was married two months later. They settled in Newport where Cora worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone until the birth of their first daughter, at which time she left her career and devoted herself entirely to caring for her family. Cora was selfless in her commitment and dedication to her family, friends and neighbors. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and caring for her dearly loved pets.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 23 at 4:30 PM at Community Bible Church, 330 Anderson Ferry Road, Marietta, PA 17547, with family visitation beginning at 4:00 PM.
