Norm and Vicki, along with their friends, Jim and Betty Magaro, constructed and installed the Free Little Library providing the opportunity to enjoy reading in the spirit of education and family. Additional acts of service for others that occupied the days were mowing lawns, plowing driveways, raking leaves, maintaining the community park and town square, all the while, conversing with anyone that crossed paths. Other passions Norm enjoyed over the years were spending time outdoors, hiking the Appalachian Trail, golfing, sailing, playing games, woodworking and running. Norm was an accomplished runner, competing in 36 marathons including Boston, New York and London. In 1983, he set his personal best record of 2 hours 47 minutes at the Boston Marathon. Above all else, he made spending time with his family a top priority. Norm and Vicki cherished life together and were seldom apart.
