Nevin J. Smith, 64, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021 at his home in Newport. He was born June 17, 1957 to the late James R. and Arlene Smith. He was retired from Highmark/Blue Shield and was a member of the Social Order of Owls, Moose and social member of the Newport VFW. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, ATV riding, and spending time with his friends and family. He also enjoyed teaching his grandson how to fish and play guitar                                                                                                                                                                                                         Nevin is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughters Helen Smith of Pittsburgh and Ammie Smith of Newport; sister Judy Walborn of Newport and grandson Niko Campbell. He was preceded in death by sister, Cora Rheam.

   Services will be held Saturday, July 10 from the David Myers Funeral Home, Newport with a viewing from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the Newport Cemetery.
