Ada Mae (Kessler) Arnold, 90, of New Bloomfield, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior October 13, 2021 at the Manor at Perry Village.
Ada was born February 25, 1931 in Bucks Valley to the late J. Floyd and Tirza (Howe) Kessler. She married Charles V. Arnold August 30, 1950.
Ada graduated from Newport High School. She worked at various dress factories and retired from Bloomfield Dress. She was an accomplished seamstress, sewing many prom gowns and bridesmaids dresses. She loved playing cards with family and friends, doing puzzles, and attending family gatherings.
Left behind to grieve her passing are her children Ruth Ellerman (Leroy "Pete"), Edward Arnold (Judy), and Rebeca Russ (Teddy); her grandchildren Benjamin Grove (Angela), Mathew Arnold, Jaime Arnold, J. Kurtis Russ (Casey), and Kristen Yoder (Corbin). Ada also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Joyce Kessler, a brother-in-law, James Towsey, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Charles, and her siblings Mary Rupp (John), Helen Towsey, and George Kessler.
A graveside service will take place November 9, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Newport Cemetery with her friend, Pastor Linda Shenk officiating. A luncheon will be provided at the Lutheran Parish House, High St. New Bloomfield following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to New Bloomfield Fire Company (attn: building fund), 23 West High St, New Bloomfield, Pa 17068.
