Alayne M. Helmus, 60, of Middletown formally from Millerstown, PA went home to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday October 24th, 2021 at her home with her daughter and granddaughter by her side.
Alayne was born in Harrisburg on September 20th 1961, the daughter of the late Harry C. Long and June C. Long.
Alayne was a graduate of Greenwood High School class of 1979, and held a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science from Lockhaven University class of 1981.
Alayne was Chief Application Developer Administrator PA Office of Health and Human Services IT Delivery Center.
Alayne loved the Lord above everything else. She was an amazing and devoted mother of four. Nothing delighted her more then to spend time with her children and two precious granddaughters.
Anyone who knew Alayne was impressed by her strong mind and will. She took great joy in all types of music, especially live music. She loved dancing and was a student of the art. Alayne loved beautiful things including the ocean, nature, baby animals, puffins, and flowers (tulips).
Alayne is survived by twin daughters, Emily and Jillian Helmus, two sons, John Tyler and his wife Samantha Helmus, and Brett Helmus. Her granddaughters Adriana Rivera and Aloisa Helmus. Two brothers Ron Long, Dave Long and wife D.J Long, one sister Sharon Auker and husband Larney Auker. She also had ten nieces and nephews who she deeply loved.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Harry and June Long, her sisters-in-laws Cynthia Long and Debrah Long, and Alayne's best friend Carol Switzer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 12-1pm, followed by the funeral on Monday November 1st at the Millerstown Methodist Church: 23 North High St Millerstown, Pa 17062. A meal will follow in the church fellowship hall.
