Anna M. Magill, age 96, passed peacefully at Carolyn's House on Linglestown Road on Sunday, August 20. She was born and raised in Fern Glen, Pennsylvania where her father was a coal miner, and her mother a homemaker, and "nurse" to many. She had three siblings, Louis, Thomas and Valeria, all of whom preceded her in death. She was the mother of five children, and married to the late Dr. John Magill, who served as teacher, coach and Superintendent of the Blain Union Schools where both shared fond memories of the students. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren, Jonette and Steven, Susan and Daniel, David and Kate, Michael, Mandey and Tec, and Jennifer and Steven. She adored great grandchildren Daniel, Jonathan, Azlyn, Tyler, Aidan, Owen, Deacon, Aaron, Aria, Isabel, Kennedy, Madison, Emma, Wesley and Sydney. She was a special aunt to many nieces and nephews. She has many extended family who will miss her as well.
She was preceded in death by her husband John, her daughter, Susan, and her great grandson, Daniel.
Special thanks are given to Angel Ann, who gave so generously of her time and devotion to Anna, the nurses at Carolyn's House, and Angel Barb.
She will be interred at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with her husband, a WWII Purple Heart recipient, in a private service. Contributions can be made to Carolyn's House in her memory.
