Arlene I (Zeiders) McGowan

Arlene I. McGowan, 93 years old, formerly of Newport, affectionately referred to as "Mutter" or "Peany" by her grandchildren, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023. She was born September 25, 1930 to Harry and Viola (Coffman) Zeiders. She was a member of the Church of the Nativity and St. Stephen, Newport and was a former member of the Election Board.

 Arlene was the widow of  William R. McGowan and is survived by her daughter Pat Dudley (Jim); grandchildren Matthew Dudley (Molly),  Billie Dudley (Dina); great grandchildren Maddy, Liam and Wesley Dudley, Taylor and Ethan Stitt, Dylan and Davis McGowan, and  step great grandchild Delaney Foreman. 

She was preceded in death by her son Michael, grandson Michael II and brother Harold Zeiders.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 4 at 11  at The Church of the Nativity, Newport.
