Barbara L (Schlusser) Reisinger

The world lost a bit of its glow on November 8, 2023, when Barbara L. Reisinger was called into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was born February 11, 1937, in Carlisle to the late Ethel and Chester Schlusser, Sr. She graduated in 1954 from Perry Joint High School. She attended the Church of the Living Christ, Loysville. She had many business accomplishments; however, Barbara will mostly be remembered for her willingness to serve the church in many capacities. Outside of church, she demonstrated her ability to be Jesus's hands and feet to those who were less fortunate. She hosted a prayer group in her home for 19 years.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Ralph E. Reisinger; two sons, Gene W (wife Susan) and Dean J. (wife Amy); and one daughter, Maria Reisinger-Metz (husband Curtis). Six grandchildren: Mitchell, Michael, Hans, Kirsta, Seth, and Rebecca. 9 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Chester Schlusser, Sr; her mother, Ethel (Kerns) Schlusser; and a brother, Chester Schlusser, Jr. ("Sonny"). Surviving are her sister Dorian Welsh, her step-sister Emma "Dolly" Yinger, and her step-brother Earl "Jerry" Durham.
