Beatrice I (Lesh) Leiter

Beatrice Irene Leiter, 89, from New Bloomfield, PA, went home to be with the Lord on January 11, 2022. She had been residing at The Manor at Perry Village in New Bloomfield for 10 months. Beatie was born near Eshcol, PA on February 23, 1932. Her parents were Albert & Bessie Lesh. She graduated from Green Park Union High School. She married Charlie Leiter in 1950.

She had been a waitress at Clarks Ferry Diner, Duncannon for 16 yrs. After that she was a notary at Rt. 34 Auto Sales, near New Bloomfield for 35 yrs & loved working with her customers. Her favorite activities were singing & playing guitar in country western & square dance bands since the late 1950's. Her last band was called "Just Country", made up of local musician friends. Beatie loved her cats & everyone around her. She was a very happy person who always had a smile when you saw her.

She is survived by her loving sons, Chuck (Camp Hill, PA), Steve (Tuckerton, NJ) & Terry (Enola, PA), 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren & companion, George Robinson, Perry Village. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Alberta & infant brother, Albert & her husband, Charlie. 

She was a good Mom & a friend to many people. We shall miss her dearly. 

We would like to recognize the love & care given by the entire staff at Perry Village. They made her happy to be there. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Bloomfield Fire Company.

Due to Covid concerns, there will only be grave-side services on January 22, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the newer Eshcol Cemetery. Pastor Ellen Scamahorn, New Bloomfield United Methodist Church, will be presiding.
