Carl R Clouser

Carl R. Clouser, 89 years old, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024 at his home in Newport. He was born September 21, 1934 to Frederick and Carrie (Stone) Clouser. He was  a member of the Zembo Shrine, past president of the Perry Juniata Shrine , past vice president of the Zembo Mini-Car Unit , past treasurer, president and clan chief of the Zembo Highlanders, Zembo Sportscar Unit, Zembo Past Masters Club, Zembo Luncheon Club, 3/4 Club, Rough Riders Club, Ohio Morgan Club, past master and trustee Newport Lodge #381 F&AM, the Turkey Buzzards and past member and officer of the Millerstown Moose.

  Carl is survived by his wife of 69 years, Betty (Turnbaugh) Clouser; sons Robert Clouser (Patty) and Glenn Clouser (Kaye) of Newport; grandchildren Ashley Leonard (Ryan) and Stephanie Clouser; niece Ann Smith and nephew Michael Clouser and faithful dog, Angel. He was preceded in death by brother Charles Clouser. The family expresses special thanks to Toni.

  Services will be held from the David Myers Funeral Home with a viewing Tuesday, April 16 from 6-8 PM and Wednesday services with a viewing from 10 AM until Masonic Services at  11 AM followed by the funeral service with the Reverend George Martz officiating. Burial will follow in the Newport Cemetery
