Carrie E. Beers, 74 years old, of Duncannon,. passed away Friday, June 14, 2024 at the UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. She was born July 18, 1949 in Newport to Ralph and Blanche (Bower) Holley. She was a member  of the Newport First Church of God.

  Carrie is survived by her sons Steven Holley (Nora), James Ogden (Becky); daughters Janice Holley, Tammy Duncan, and Lori Rockhold; brothers James, Ralph and Charles Holley; two step daughters; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Beers, brothers Paul, Robert, Russell, Donald, Kenneth and David Holley; sister Irene Rudy and a step daughter. 

  A viewing will be held Tuesday, June 18 from 5-7 PM from the David Myers Funeral Home, Newport. The funeral service will be Wednesday, June 19 at 11 AM at the Newport First Church of God with Reverend Cheryl Dorman officiating. Burial will follow in the Newport Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to  her church or the Kidney Dialysis Center, New Bloomfield, PA.
