Carrie I Byers, 79 of Elliottsburg was welcomed into the loving arms of her Savior, surrounded by the joy of her reunited loved ones on April 8, 2026.
She was born September 24, 1946 to the late Earl Wright and Nora Kumler. She was a member of the New Bloomfield United Methodist Church, the Landisburg Lions Club and social member of the New Bloomfield Fire Company. She enjoyed gardening and especially spending time with her family. She worked at dress factory, Liverpool Rubber Plant, and Piezo Crystal Company. She retired from Corning Frequency Control.
Carrie was the widow of Stanley Byers and is survived by her children Kenneth Wright and wife Jenn of Newport and Belinda Mullen of Elliottsburg; grandchildren Austin Hasekamp, Samantha Hasekamp-Richards, Payton Ann Hasekamp and Junior Wright and great grandchildren Addison Marie Hasekamp and Sylvia Renee Sofranek; brother-in-law Mathew Byers. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as sister Nancy Silvis.

Services will be held from the Hope Eternal United Methodist Church, 2 Burd Road, Newport with a viewing on Thursday, April 16 from 6-8 PM and Friday, April 17 from 11 AM until the funeral service at 12 PM. Burial will follow in Bucks Church Cemetery
