Catherine P (Murphy) Howell

Catherine P Howell, 78 years old, of Duncannon, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025 at the UPMC West Shore Hospital. She was born February 16, 1947 in Duncannon to Cloyd and Alma (Beck) Murphy.

She was a member of the First Pine Grove Church of God and enjoyed crocheting and gardening. She loved spending time with family and friends. 

Catherine was the widow of George Howell and is survived by her sons, Gary Howell (Jamie) of East Waterford and Daniel Howell (LaRay) of Duncannon; daughters Michelle Bratton (Bryson) of Newport and Meleana Howell-Collins (Roger) of Duncannon; 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son Michael Howell, brother David Murphy and sister Margaret Spicher.

A Celebration of Catherine's life will be held Saturday, September 27 at 1 PM at the First Pine Grove Church of God, Newport.
