Charles E (Jr) Welfley

Charles “Chuck” Welfley, Jr. (58) of Mifflintown, PA passed away peacefully on April 17, 2023 in Harrisburg, PA.  Born in Camp Hill, PA and residing in Newport, PA for much of his life, Chuck was preceded in death by parents Charles and Jane Welfley of Newport, PA, cousin Randall Welfley, and dear friend Doug Sieber.  Chuck is survived by family and countless loved ones, including: sons Brooks and Matthew Welfley; fiancée Stacey Nace, daughter and son-in-law Abby and Danny Sheaffer, and grandson Kael Sheaffer; brother and sister-in-law James and Wendy Welfley; nephew Tyler Welfley; uncles Bill Welfley (Pat) and Jim Ford; cousins Nicole, Quinn and Evin Fisher, Jason Ford, Lisa Welfley, Heidi Welfley Cembor ,Zoe Weiss, and Sam Goldman; and beloved dogs, Willie and Waylon.  Known for his wit and knack for storytelling, Chuck was a gifted youth sports league announcer and coach, and he nurtured a lifelong passion for rooting for his favorite sports teams and watching various comedy shows with his family and friends.  Chuck’s hobbies were fishing, hunting, and journalism.  Together, Chuck’s loved ones invite all to attend a Celebration of Life Service to honor his legacy on June 2, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. to be held at the Family Life Center in Newport, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
