Constance L (Lyter) Byers

 Constance L. Byers, 87, of Millerstown, passed away October 27, 2021. She was the daughter of Roy C. Lyter and M. Mae (Gelnett) Lyter. She was born in Seven Stars, Juniata County April 29, 1934. Connie is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Lewis, and three daughters, Cindy (Don) Soule, Deb (Bob) Hines, and Gayle Byers along with three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is predeceased by a daughter, Rose. She is survived by two brothers, Ronald and Gerald (Betsy) Lyter, and a sister Sally (Darryl) Losch. Connie retired from Greenwood School District as cafeteria manager with over 20 years of service, was the devoted wife of a dairy farmer, and raised 4 daughters. She was a member of the Donnally Mills United Methodist Church. Connie was a great cook with a passion for making delicious dishes and wonderful family  meals. Heaven will definitely be eating good now.
  Services will be held Sunday, October 31 at 2 PM at the Newport Family Life Center, Shortcut Road, Newport with a viewing from 1 PM until the service with Reverend Wyatt Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in the Newport Cemetery.
   In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to the Donnally Mills United Methodist Church.
