Daryl Eugene Campbell of Newport, age 86, widower of Patsy (Saylor) Campbell, passed away Saturday
October 15, 2022 in Wellsboro,PA
. Daryl was born August 28, 1936, the son of late Clayton E. Campbell and Mary Virginia (Shade)
Campbell. He was a lifelong active Christian participating in multiple Christian based mission projects
and built many churches in Midwest territories as well as local projects. Daryl was an avid fisherman,
hunter and horseman.
Daryl was enlisted in the U.S. Army where he competed on the rifle team. Through his years Daryl was a
farmer, a Barber, a Farrier, a carpenter, a mason and later retired from Carolina Freight.
Daryl is survived by three daughters, Robin J Sear of Cadyville, NY, Gay D Yorlets and her husband
David of Dillsburg, and Daryla J Campbell of Wellsboro, a son, Bryan A Campbell of Dillsburg and a brother
Gary L Campbell of Newport, and two nephews. Daryl is also survived by his stepchildren Kimberly
Dreibelbis, Carole Reed, and Sally Slautterback. Daryl was predeceased by his son Jon Q Campbell. Daryl
is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
 Services will be held Saturday, October 22 from the David Myers Funeral Home, Newport with a viewing
from 11 AM until the funeral services at 12 PM. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Newport.
