David E Benson

David E. Benson, 92 years old, of Newport, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the Holy Spirit Hospital. He was born September 27, 1929 in Millerstown to Alonza Washington and Catherine Holley. He was a member of Mt. Olivet Church of the Brethren.
  David was preceded in death by wife Jean Ann (Seger) Benson and is survived by sisters Minnie Dietz of Millerstown, Jenny Howell of Newport and Grace Milligan of Ickesburg; brother Wayne Benson of Millerstown; step son Marlin Yinger of Wellsville and niece Deb Montine of Carlisle and five step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Lenus, Paul,  and Junior Leonard Benson and sisters Mary Serbieff, Ruth Benson, Myrle Cooper, Mae Jones and Jeanie Brown.
  A Memorial Service will be held January 8, 2022 at Mt. Olivet Church of the Brethren at 11 AM.
