Doris E. LaForce, 88 years old, passed away at her home in Newport on December 1, 2025. She was born August 26, 1937 in Pottsville to John and Dorothy (Wenrich) Schumacher. She was a member of the Highland Presbyterian Church and loved animals.

Doris was the widow of Russell D. LaForce and is survived by her children Rodger LaForce (Eileen) of Harrisburg, Randall LaForce of Harrisburg, Rochelle Hartman of Harrisburg and Renee Dymond (Troy) of Shippensburg; grandchildren Mylissa Ramsey, Jacob, Jay and Jared Pegnetter and Chelsea and Allison Hartman an]d great grandchildren Colton, Emelia and AvaMae Ramsey. She was preceded in death by brother Ronald Schumacher.

Services will be held Monday, December 8  at the Highland Presbyterian Church, 11 Church Road, Newport with a visitation from 11 AM until the funeral service at 12 PM.
