Dorothy J. (Lauver) Stuckey, 70 years old, formerly of Newport and Harrisburg, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Premier at Perry Village in New Bloomfield. She was born October 13, 1950 in Millerstown to the late Edward and Kathryn (Flickinger) Lauver. She was a 1968 graduate of Greenwood HS. She was a member of Tree of Life Lutheran Church in Harrisburg and retired from Highmark. Dorothy loved to be at the beach, but her greatest joys were her grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her loving companion of 20 years, Jeff Ludwig of Harrisburg; son Thomas B. Stuckey, Jr. (Christina) of Shermansdale; daughter Jennifer R. Stuckey of Newport; brother George E. Lauver (Rhonda) of Concord, NC; sisters Pastor Mary Jane King (Lyle) of Carlisle and Frances K. Lauver of Harrisburg; two step sons, Jonathan (Jennifer) Ludwig of Leland, NC and Scott (Christina) Ludwig of Mt. Wolf; six grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son Todd M. Stuckey, brother Donald O. Thompson and sister Ruth E. (Lauver) Bechtel.
Services will be held Sunday, August 22 at St Paul Lutheran Church, Newport with a visitation from 2:30 PM until the Memorial Service at 3 PM with the Reverend Richard Geib officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Tree of Life Lutheran Church, Humane Society of Harrisburg or Parkinson's or Heart Associations.
