Edith A. Jones, 78 years old, formerly of New Bloomfield, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023. She was born October 30, 1945 to the late Wesley and Catherine (Richardson) Jones. She was a 1966 graduate of Newport High School and the 1966 Newport Civic Club Girl of the Year. She was a member of the Church of the Nativity, Newport and life member of the Perry Historians.. Edith was an inspiration to the entire family- even though she was handicapped she did data entry work for the State for 35 years and lived for most of her life on her own. She will be sadly missed by many.
Edi was preceded in death by brothers, James, John and Ross Jones and survived by sister in law, Rita Campbell. She was preceded in death by half brothers Richard, Paul and Lenus Jones and half sister Clara Karns.
A Graveside Service-will be held Tuesday, December 26 at 2:30 at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Newport
