Edna Fay Smith

EDNA FAY SMITH, 71, of Harrisburg, PA, and formerly of Vernon, Texas,died Thursday, March 24, 2022 in the Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg.                                                                          Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Paul and Lenna Rothermel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dereick P. Smith ; son Anthony "Tony" Paul Smith and 2 sisters: Martha Rothermel and Sara Jane Rothermel.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and Pastor of Glory to God in the Highest church of Harrisburg.

She loved crocheting, pottery and music.

Edna is survived by 2 sons: Dereick L. Smith and his wife Rhonda of Newport, Joe Smith and his wife Michelle of Carlisle; a daughter: Tammy Hoffman and her husband Nathan of Delaware; a brother: Herman Rothermel; 6 grandchildren: Ganon and Chloe Smith, Cheyenne Fetterhoff, Larissa Chaplain, TJ and Alyssa Hoffman; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 4:00 pm, Tuesday, March 29, 2022, in the David M. Myers Funeral Home, 125 Walnut Street, Newport, PA where a viewing will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Burial will be Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
