Elaine M (Varner) Boughter

Elaine M. Boughter, 64 years old, of Newport, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Encompass Health Rehabilitation in Mechanicsburg. She was born November 30, 1958 in Berwick to William D. and Mary (Briggum) Varner. She was a member of the Juniata Saddle Club.

 Elaine was preceded in death by husbands, Gary Bankus and Michael Boughter. She is survived by her long time companion, Ron Collins; brothers William Varner (Jane) of Allentown, David Varner (Sandra) of Florence, SC and James Varner  of Schnecksville; sister Mary Sue Varner Lechleitner (Jan) of Annville;  grandchildren Keenan and Briauna Flickinger and great grandson Kayson Flickinger. She was also preceded in death by daughter Autumn Bankus Hartzell , brother Robert Varner and  sister-in-law Kay Varner.
