Eleanor L (Kochenderfer) Morrison

Eleanor L. Morrison (Ellie), 86 years old, passed away after a valiant fight with cancer She died on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at her home in Shermans Dale. Ellie was born January 27, 1937 to Paul and Mildred Kochenderfer.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 She was the widow of David (Sam) Morrison and is survived by her son Tim Morrison (Lynda) of Los Alamos, NM; daughter Deb McKeever of Shermans Dale; brother Harry Kochenderfer; ten grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by sons David Morrison, Jr. and Thomas Morrison and sister Alice Good.                                     She enjoyed spending time with family, watching the grandkids grow up and attending their many sporting activities. Many weekends were spent traveling to the Delaware shore with friends.  Her hobbies included bowling, playing cards and doing crossword puzzles.  She also was an avid sports fan especially for her beloved Penn State Nittany Lions.  Although she played basketball in high school, her favorite sport to watch was baseball.                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Services will be held Thursday, February 23 from the David Myers Funeral Home with a viewing from 1 PM until the funeral services at 2 PM. Burial will follow in the Newport Cemetery.
