Gene A Hockenberry, 76 years old, of Newport, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022 at the UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. He was born November 20, 1945 in Perry County to Wilmer and Alda Belle (Smith) Hockenberry. He was retired from Crestline Plastic Pipes in Mechanicsburg. after 36 years and 7 months Gene is survived by his wife Ruth (Stailey) Hockenberry; sons Jason Hockenberry (Beth) of Camp Hill and Jeremy Hockenberry (Shannon) of New Cumberland; sister Wanda Campbell of Loysville and grandchildren Isabella and Jake Hockenberry. He was preceded in death by brothers Edwin, Johnnie and Wilmer Jr. Hockenberry.
