George Stuber Obituary

George O. Stuber, 85 years old of Ickesburg, a loving husband and father passed away Sunday October 1, 2023, at the UPMC Carlisle Hospital. He was born Dec. 3, 1937, in Ickesburg to Omer and Mae (Freeman) Stuber. After retiring from dairy farming at age 45 he began his second career as an excavator and worked until he was 80. He was a member of the Ickesburg Fire Company, Landisburg Ambulance League, Perry County Old Iron Club, Keystone Oliver Collectors Asso. of PA, Moline Gold Tractor Club, served on the Buffalo Cemetery Association, Restland Cemetery Associations, and multiple other associations throughout his life.

 

George is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Phyllis (Peterson ) Stuber; son Bradley J. Stuber (Lori) of Dauphin; daughters Rosalie Heisey (Jack) of Marysville and Natalie D. Sullivan (Ricardo) of Nicaragua; brothers Paul Stuber (Linda) of Hummelstown and Wayne Stuber (Chele) of Morrisville; five grandchildren,  eight great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, an unofficially adopted daughter “little” Beth (Natalie’s best friend), and multiple furry friends.  He was preceded in death by his son George W. Stuber and brother Ronald Stuber.

 

 Services will be held Saturday, October 7 at the Saville Brethren in Christ Church with a viewing starting at 12:30 PM with services at 2 PM followed by a burial in the Buffalo Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to the Buffalo Cemetery c/o Donald Messimer, 3163 Liberty Valley Road Ickesburg, PA 17037 or Restland Cemetery c/o Rosalie Heisey, 1342 Valley Road, Marysville, PA 17053.
