Helen M Trout, 92, widow of Carl Trout and daughter of Joseph and Edna Carl Wagner, passed away peacefully at her home in Newport on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. She was born in the parlor of the family farmhouse in Little Buffalo Valley on September 8, 1926. Helen attended little red school on Middle Ridge and was a 1945 graduate of Newport High School.
She was employed as a clerk/cashier for PP&L Newport office. Helen married Carl Trout on March 19, 1949 and spent most of her life living in Juniata Twp., Perry County. She was active in the 4-H, Incarnation UCC, and was a member of the Community, Pomona, State and National Granges.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Fleisher and husband Roger of Newport, son, Edward Trout and wife Bonnie of Newport, son in law, James Cree of Newport; grandchildren, Eric Fleisher (Ann) and Alice Fleisher, Jennifer Keefe (Dan), Jessica Cree and Jeffrey Cree and great grandchildren, Jaedyn Hall and Molly and Daniel Keefe. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Cree and brothers, George, Lester, and John Marlin Wagner.
Services will be private with burial in Newport Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Incarnation UCC, PO Box 68, Newport, PA 17074 or Perry County Animal Rescue, 507 Sugar Run Rd., Millerstown, PA 17062.
