Ira E. Lauver, 80 years old, of Elliottsburg, passed away, July 11, 2026 at the UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. He was born March 24, 1946 to Ira F. and Effie (Hockenberry) Lauver. He loved spending his days tinkering around in his garage, whistling to music. He loved to hunt, fish, crabbing and joking with everyone. He especially loved to spend time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Debbie Lauver and brother Glen Hockenberry. He is survived by his children Petey (Crystal), Terry (Cheryl) , Rusty, Becky (Lish), Lindy (Dave) and Vicky (Tom); brother William Lauver; sister Connie Frontz; 26 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 on the way.

Services will be held Tuesday, July 14 at   Eshcol Community Brethren in Christ Church, 12577 Buffalo Trace Rd, Newport with a viewing from  12 PM until the funeral service at 1 PM.
