Joann A. Rauch, 87 years old, formerly of Newport, passed away April 1 at Stonebridge Nursing and Rehabilitation in Duncannon, surrounded by loved ones. She was born February 19, 1937 in Newport to Emory and Harriet (Jacobs) Miller. She was a member of Mt. Olivet Church of the Brethren, Newport and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, word serches, coloring and shopping.

  Joann was the widow of Leon Rauch and is survived by her sons Kennth Rauch of New Bloomfield and Timothy Rauch, five grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by daughter Carol Ann Rauch and son Harold Rauch; brothers Robert, Walter, Raymond, Edgar and Nelson Miller and sisters Goldie Stitzel, Ruth Henry, Cherlette Henry and Mary Weimer.

  Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 9 at 12 PM at St. John's United Methodist Cemetery, McAlisterville. In lieu of flowers Please make donations to the  Nursing home in Duncannon or to her church.
