John C. Fickes Jr., 70, Newport, PA passed away at home on Thursday, January 30, 2025. He was
born on February 5, 1954 to the late John C. Fickes Sr. and Bessie Undergust.
He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Dave Fickes, Bill Fickes and Richard “Dick”
Fickes.
He was retired from Carlisle Carrier Corporation as a welder and a trailer mechanic. He worked
for Motor Truck Transportation and also worked for Capital Products. He enjoyed hunting,
Nascar and Sprint car racing as well as watching Penn State Football.
He is survived by his brother, Wayne Fickes (wife) Kathy, sister, Alice Shetrom (husband) Ken,
sister-in-law Carol Fickes, three sons, John N. Fickes, Jason A. Fickes (finance) Anita M. Kemble,
Travis Holley, (wife) Kristen Holley, his daughter-in-law, Amber Fickes, four grandchildren,
Tristan H. Kemble, Alexander A. Kemble, Tobin Donaldson, Jaxon Fickes, several nephews and
nieces and special friends Sean and Monica Willow.

Celebration of Life will be held at the Newport VFW from 1pm to 5pm, Saturday, February, 15,
2025.
