Judith Anne McGowan Schrader, 76 years old, of Millerstown, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022 at Richfield Nursing and Healthcare Center. She was born November 25, 1945 to the late Samuel and Anna (Roush) McGowan. She attended Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Thompsontown and was a lifetime member of the Moose and served on the Millerstown Senior Center Board  where she was a past secretary.
   Judy worked a variety of jobs. Earlier in life, she trained  as a flight attendant and flew with Allegheny Airlines and later Pegasus. Judy loved flowers and worked in the floral department at Giant. She was also employed with Angels on Call. Judy created dolls and teddy bears, which she sold as Judy's Bears and Dolls. Judy loved animals, especially her cat, Miss Annie. She also loved beach trips  with her family, traveling, cooking, baking and entertaining her family, especially at  the holidays.
  Judy was the widow of Palmer W. Schrader and is survived by her brothers, Donald McGowan of Newport and Harold McGowan of Richfield and sisters Janice Wood of South Carolina and Leota "Babe" Allen of Thompsontown. She was also preceded in death by brother Gerald McGowan and nieces Donna McGowan and Jacalyn Allen.
  Services will be held Tuesday, October 18  from the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 19 North Mill Street, Thompsontown with a visitation from 1 PM until the funeral service at 2 PM Burial will follow the service at Wright's Church Cemetery, Millerstown.
