Karen Elaine Stone Obituary

Karen E. Stone,(Grammy) 80 of Loysville passed away peacefully at UPMC West Shore Hospital, surrounded by her family on the evening of August 15, 2022. She was born on May 15, 1942 to Samuel and Mabel Smith. She worked and retired from West Perry High School as a cafeteria worker. Karen loved playing bingo and seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Karen was married to George Stone. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. Karen is survived by her sisters Vada Knisley and Doris Neely; Her son Michael Stone of Loysville; Her grandchildren and their spouses, Derek & Ceaira Stone of Loysville, Paige & Andy Martin of New Bloomfield, Danyelle & Landon Miller of Carlisle, Gordon & Alecia Stone of Blain, and Taylor & Zachary Zinn of Newburg; Her 10 great grandchildren Maycie Stone, Maddisyn Stone, Oliver Stone, Payson Martin, Brayden Martin, Wesley Miller, Brynlee Miller, Braxton Stone, Aubree Stone, Case Zinn &  one more on the way. She will be deeply missed!  Services  will be on Friday,  August 26, 2022  from 6-8 pm at David Myers Funeral Home in Newport.  In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
