Kathleen L Taylor Obituary

Kathleen L. Taylor,  77 years old, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022 at her home in Shermans Dale with her family by her side. Kathy was born September 27, 1945 in Ohio to the late Charles Henry and Geneva Audrey (Wilson) Jones.
She was a commercial truck driver with her former husband Mickey “Mike” Wayne Taylor; among the first female truck drivers of the time. After they divorced, Kathy joined ReMack-Mack Truck Remanufacturing Center in Middletown PA to rebuild Mack truck engines on the assembly line, from which she retired.
She was a snowbird and enjoyed traveling in her RV to Florida in winter and Gettysburg or her daughters farm in summer; driving and setting up her 33 foot motor home on her own with only the moral support of her loyal Yorkie Maggie by her side.  She enjoyed playing cards of all kinds and the board game Rummikub with family and good friends including fellow campers Jay, Betty, Larry & Angie among many others met along the way.
Kathy was generous to a fault, giving of herself to assist others with a selfless spirit.
She was preceded in death by beloved unborn grandson Bentley and her sister Karen Jones who travelled the country with her in “Wilma” their camper and “Fred” their car.
She loved peanut butter, cream filled French horns, Conway Twitty, her two kids, caramel frappes from McDs with NO WHIPPED CREAM and driving.  Driving everywhere. Driving all the time.
Church for Kathy was a large rock in Goldsboro next to the Susquehanna River.
She is survived by her two children; son Wayne Taylor of Etters; daughter Nina Fitchet and son-in-law Michael of Shermans Dale; his daughter-granddaughter Tyler “Ty” Doyle and grandson-in-law Matthew with their children Ivy James and Maisie Blake Doyle.
