Kenneth W. Latchford, Sr. 83 years old, of Newport, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at the UPMC Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg. He was born July 3, 1942 in Newport to Charles and Mary (Hoffman) Latchford. He was owner of the Latchford Saw Shop and a member of the Millerstown Moose and Newport Fire Company.

  Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie (Rudy) Latchford and is survived by his children  Kenneth Latchford Jr. (Mary Jo) of Newport, Keith Latchford (Christina) of Newport, Wanda Frey (Bobby) of Newport and Janet Lowe (partner, Candi) of Enola; brother Ray Latchford of Palmyra, sister Edna Witmer of New Cumberland; 8 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.

  Services will be held  Saturday, July 26 at the David Myers Funeral Home, Newport with a viewing from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the Newport Cemetery
