Kirk W. Love, 74 years old, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025 at his home in New Bloomfield. He was born January 14, 1951 to the late Isobel (Seiders) and Wayne Love. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps serving as a Military Police Officer. He graduated from The Pennsylvania State Police Academy in 1980. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after 37 years as a Railroad Police Officer. 

 Kirk was an avid outdoorsmen and enjoyed hunting, trapping and racing homing pigeons. He loved being with his family and spending time together. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy. He was a member of New Harvest Community Church in Millerstown, Meadowgrove Sportsman Club, Homing Pigeon Racing Club, Liverpool American Legion, and The Fraternal Order of Police. 

 Kirk is survived by his wife of 47 years Shirley Stansfield Love; son Shawn Love and wife Kathy of New Jersey; daughters Alycia Love of New Bloomfield and Jacquelyn Hawkins and husband Chuck of Shermans Dale; brother Leonard Love of Ebensburg; sisters Ruth Bickel of Maryland and Sue Hiltner of Colorado; Stepmother Georgiana Love; Grandchildren Corrine McClucas, Gavin Bucher, Julia Makey, Ashley and Austin Love and great grandchildren Atticus, Hudson and Mikey. He was preceded in death by his brother Jack Love.

Services will be held Saturday, March 8 at the Bible Believers Baptist Church, 35 Creekview Drive, Newport with visitation from 10 AM until the Memorial Service at 11 AM with Pastor David Bard officiating.
