Leroy Wright Obituary

Leroy C. Wright, 99 years old, of Newport, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 at The Manor at Perry Village. He was born September 17, 1915 in Newport to Grover C. and Annie (Bailor) Wright. He was a Navy Veteran of World War ll. Leroy was founder of and had retired from Wrights Welding in New Bloomfield. He was a member of the Newport American Legion #177 and Life Member of the Newport Fire Company.
Leroy was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie (Henry) Wright and his son, Robert K. Wright. He is survived by his son, Merle L. Wright of Newport; sisters, Dorothy Ehrhart of New Bloomfield and Helen Ehrhart of Newport; grandchildren, Lora Wright, Amy Waltz and Douglas Wright and great grandchildren, Brendon Osborne and Kalei Kuehlewind.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Leroy are requested to Newport Fire Company, Mulberry Street, Newport, Pa.17074.
