"Lonnie Eugene Treaster, Jr., 62, of Newport, PA, passed away on December 20, 2025.

Lonnie was born on September 21, 1963 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  He was a lifelong resident of Newport and was a man who truly loved the outdoors.  He enjoyed hunting, spending time in the woods, and appreciating the quiet beauty of nature.  Those who knew him knew he was happiest outside.

Lonnie was also a devoted NASCAR fan.  Race days were important to him, and he rarely missed watching a race, cheering on his favorite drivers, and collecting NASCAR memorabilia.

Most of all, Lonnie enjoyed spending time with his family.  Family meant everything to Lonnie.  He was a loving father and grandfather, and took great pride in his children and grandchildren.  He is survived by his children, Bobby Treaster and his spouse Kim, and Kayla Wise (Treaster) and her spouse Evan.  Lonnie is also survived by his four grandchildren, Caydence, Carter, Reid, and Aspen.  Lonnie will also be missed by his sister Penny Sanders, brother-in-law Ken, brother John, and sister-in-law Ronnie.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Vyonne Treaster.

A viewing will be held at Myers Funeral Home on December 29th, 2025 at 10 am, followed by a service at 12.  Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Millerstown.  A celebration of life will be held at the Millerstown Community Center immediately following the burial.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Lonnie will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
