Louise A Clouser

Louise A. Clouser, 90 years old, was born March 18, 1932 and raised on the farm in Newport and died peacefully on August 1, 2022 with family by her side in Mechanicsburg. She was preceded in death by her parents Tamar McBride Clouser and Silas Crist Clouser and her brothers John W, Dallas G  and Robert M Clouser. She was a graduate of Newport High School, Shippensburg University and Master's Degree from Penn State University.
Louise retired from Quantico Marine Base after 35 years of public service. She served the families of enlisted personnel all over the world- most notably Japan, England and Puerto Rico before her service at Quantico.
She was a lifelong member of St Samuel's Lutheran Church in Newport and later Mannsville Lutheran Church. Louise was an avid walker, bringing the sport of Volksmarch to central Pennsylvania. She was a founder and former president of the Susquehanna Rover's Volksmarch Club. She walked in all 50 states.. Louise was a pilot, a teacher, and a philanthropist. But mostly she enjoyed her family and friends.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews (Linda, Mark, Marcia, Terry and Vicki) as well as their children and grandchildren.
The family would like to honor the daily love and care provided by "nephews" Derek, Tyler and Ryan at Harmony. We also express gratitude for all the caregivers who in doing their jobs tended to her  in her final days. She was blessed to be touched by so many caring people at Harmony and will be missed by all.
 Services will be held Monday from the David Myers Funeral Home, Newport with a viewing from 10AM until the funeral service at 11 AM with Reverend Kevin O'Brien officiating.  Burial will follow in the Newport Cemetery.
