M. Betty (Bentzel) Reisinger

M. Betty "Aunt Betty" Reisinger, 99 years old, of Newport, passed away 
Sunday, July 17, 2022 with her family at her side, at the home of her 
great-niece, Arlene Rice. She was born July 5, 1923 to the late Jacob 
and Marie (Chaumier) Bentzel.  On July 17, 1948 she married Philip A. 
Reisinger who preceded her in death in 2013 breaking a 65 year marital 
union.  She is survived by many nieces and nephews and her half sister 
Ann Elsessor of Alabama.  She enjoyed cooking, baking and crocheting 
but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.  She was a 
member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Newport,  Life member of Order of 
Eastern Star and Order of Amaranth.

   Services will be held Saturday at the David Myers Funeral Home with 
a viewing from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM with Joseph 
Dorman officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery, 
Newport. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to 
Newport Fire Company or to her church.
