Mary Jane (Wetzler) Gardner

Mary Jane Gardner, 76 years old, of Newport, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023 at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation, Carlisle. She was born September 6, 1946 in Middleburg to Noami and George Wetzler. She enjoyed doing embroidery and crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was the widow of Dennis W. Gardner Sr. and is survived by her daughters, Melissa McNaughton of Elliottsburg, Esther Mitchell of New Bloomfield, Traci Heller of Lewistown, Doris Harden of Duncannon and Brenda Swartz of Newport; sister Violet Kauffman of Millerstown; nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers George and Robert  Wetzler and sisters Carlette Layton and Shirley Zimmerman.
