Mary H. McLaughlin, 88 years old, formerly of Elliottsburg and New Bloomfield, passed away on March 21, 2024. She was born June 23, 1935 in Van Wert, PA to Charles and Elizabeth (Ulsh) Hostetler.

She was the widow of Charles McLaughlin, who passed away in November, 2010. She is survived by two children, David McLaughlin (Patti) and Elliottsburg and Beth McLaughlin of State College. She has one sibling, Jean Zimmerman of Mifflintown and nephew Charles Zimmerman, grandson Cole McLaughlin (LeeAnn) of Elliottsburg and great grandson Kaysen.

  Mary lived her life exactly as she wanted. Her garden and farm were well-kept and beautiful. She loved baking and cooking and her whoopie pies were eaten by many far and wide. She learned how to horseback ride in her forties and cheered loudly at her daughter's sporting events. She loved being at home and spending time with her family.

 Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the New Bloomfield Fire Company, 215 S. Carlisle Street, New Bloomfield, PA 17068 or Shermans Dale United Methodist Church, 50 Windy Hill Road, Shermans Dale, PA 17090.
