Max E Campbell Obituary

Max E. Campbell, 70, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024 at his home on Buckwheat Road, Millerstown. He was born October 7, 1953 in Buckwheat Valley to the late McDonald and Jessie (Fogleman) Campbell.

Max retired from Knouse Foods in 2018, having forty-three years of service.

He loved spending time with his family, including taking his grand-daughters on golf cart rides and sharing his selection of music with them. Max enjoyed going out to eat and was an avid Penn State football fan.

 

Surviving are his two daughters, Melanie Moats (Wes) and Kimberly Johnston (Marcus); two sisters, Barbara Campbell and Carol Rider (Jim); two brothers, Richard Campbell (Tina) and Louis Campbell (Patsie); six grandchildren, Weston Moats Jr., Kaylee Moats, Tyron Johnston, Connor Johnston, Danielle Moats and Vivian Moats; and multiple cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held from the David Myers Funeral Home, Newport with a viewing on Friday, January 12 from 6-8 PM and Saturday from 10-11 AM followed by the funeral service at 11 AM with the Reverend Elaine Moyer officiating. Burial is  in the Eshcol Cemetery, Millerstown.
